These appointments are for renewal of prescriptions and ongoing referral letters.
Normal Appointments
Normal - 10 minutes
These appointments are for Routine Care, Preventative Care, Chronic Care, Referral letters to new specialists and General Medicine attention.
Long Appointments
Long - 20 minutes
These appointments are for New Patients, Skin Excisions, Complex conditions and Pap Smears.
Extra Long Appointments
Extra Long - 30+ minutes
These appointments are for Full Medical Check-ups, Heavy Vehicle Licences, Pre-Employment Checks, Counseling and if a Patient's Carer or translator is present.
Pre Employment Medicals
30+ minutes
Burra Medical Centre can arrange and perform Pre Employment Medicals. These medicals are not covered by the Medicare Bulk Billing Scheme and will need to have payment before the report can be sent to the employer.
Skin Lesion Removal
30+ minutes
Our doctors are trained to remove skin lesions. Once excised, the lesion will be sent of to Pathology for a full check, and we will advise you of the outcome*
Work Cover
20+ minutes
We are able to look after our patients with their Work Cover requests, from date of injury right through to Return to Work.
Mental Health Care Plans

Your mental health is most important and our doctors are here to help in any way we can. We can arrange a Mental Health Care Plan and work with you every step of the way.
Diabetes Assessments

Our doctors work closely with patients to maintain and stay on top of Diabetes. Our practice encourages patients with Diabetes to have regular reviews as well as the annual Diabetes review - where bloods will be reviewed.
